After an exhausting week, I’m eagerly anticipating the arrival of the weekend. Not only am I looking forward to indulging in a well-deserved full-body massage, but I’m also already contemplating the perfect place to enjoy a delightful Saturday lunch as we do our usual weekly grocery.
By the way, I wanted to share some exciting news: I’ve kicked off this week by starting a series of enhancements and giving the Food section of my blog a complete makeover. I’m thrilled to unveil the revamped version under its new name, “The Hungry Juan,” a title inspired by my Business Juan page. It seems that my blog and Facebook page have finally found the perfect synergy and connection I am searching for.
To kick off the culinary journey on “The Hungry Juan,” I’ve chosen to spotlight snippets from our Saturday lunch at The Noodle House.
To begin our meal, we opted for the Hakaw Dumplings as our appetizer. Having been longing for Chinese cuisine, these delectable dumplings perfectly fulfilled my cravings. I couldn’t resist to the point that hindi muna ako nagpaka Pinoy, di na ako nahiyang kunin ang huling dumpling. I claimed the last piece. Yummy!
I have been consciously reducing my carbs, so I made the choice to enjoy a comforting bowl of soup. However, my intention took a delightful turn, and I ended up savoring a satisfying Chicken Ramen. Lovsy, on the other hand, ventured into the realm of Indonesian flavors with the Nasi Goreng, a true delight.
Ate settled on the Sweet & Sour Chicken, but unfortunately, I missed the chance to snap a photo of her dish. From what I heard, it seems her choice lived up to its reputation and turned out to be as delicious as expected.
The star of our lunch show was undoubtedly the Peking Duck with its delightful wraps. Now, I’ll admit, I wasn’t really a Peking Duck enthusiast, but when Lovsy gave me the nudge to try a smaller serving, I figured, why not? So, we went ahead and ordered one. Turns out, the Peking Duck compliments my Ramen choice – an unexpected food duo I never knew I needed.
Summing it up, the dining experience definitely hit the spot. The waiting time was surprisingly short, and our food was served just in time to satisfy our hungry tummies.
