One of the perks of having Kapampangan in-laws is getting to enjoy authentic Kapampangan Kare-Kare! Today, Lovsy and I were lucky enough to savor my mother-in-law’s homemade Kare-Kare once again. It’s something we both always look forward to.
The tenderness of the beef, paired with fresh string beans and pechay (bok choy), is truly a match made in heaven. I think the secret lies in the rich peanut sauce and the perfectly sautéed alamang (fermented shrimp paste).
Mama’s Kare-Kare is truly something special! I couldn’t help but go for another cup of rice—it’s just that good!
